Some sea critters

We went along to aqua today. The aquarium of W.A. Couldnt miss the chance for a few snaps.
Top one is a leafy sea dragon. Very hard to snap as they float around everywhere. Apparently many of the die because they are washed up on the beachshore because they dont swim as much as float.

This gorgeous fella is a deadly stonefish. Not what you would want to stand on!

I couldnt resist this on. The lone shrimp. Really , you can see right through him.
I love the jellyfish. Hate them stinging me but they are almost hypnotic to watch. The one above looks like a big brain , which is funny because they are brainless.
And lastly , the jelly farm. Here is the perfect way to scare your children off blue jelly. Just show them where it comes from! he he he heee

Bath fiasco pics

These were a few of my favourites from the many I snapped whilst my bathroom was starting to disappear!

This is one of my favourites. The little boy in the bubble!

Not a great photo this one but I liked it anyway.

The last couple were a play around with abstract. I like them. Almost a matallic quality to them.
Something different anyway.

Bubbles of fun

Darling son of mine decided he would have a bubble bath. I think he managed to put in a little too much bubbles.

At one stage he even seemed to be disappearing! We had to scoop out handfuls and handfuls. The shower was full of bubbles that ended up taller than me!

His brother managed to have just as much fun and he waasnt even having a bath!

Perhaps when you feel you have the weight of the world on shoulders, maybe there is an angel sitting there too.

We had the the pleasure of driving out to Wannamal today to collect my son from scout camp. I couldnt help but try to get in a few shots.
Nothing spectacular with this first one but I have a feeling it may come in handy later so I shot it anyway. The camp was on the grounds of a gun club so this sign was over the fences leading into camp.
This next on I really like. It shows that sometimes the things that are ugliest on the outside can be truley beautiful on the inside.
This is my all time favourite from the day. I like the black and white conversion and I love how the dead tree appears to have so much more spirit inside it than the living tree shadowed in the background.

This is the ever watchful Bonnie. Keeping an eye on me and my camera.
Making sure we dont get into any trouble.
I tried for a good focus spot on ther eye, which I am happy with. I also increased the shadow a little to get that abstract kinda feel to the shot. I like this picture!

Game Over

This photo I liked because it has a personality I think. In the age of computer games and nintendo etc game over usually means just get up and restart.

Whilst playing a game at the park my boys lost their ball over a fence that was impossible for us to climb so they had to admit game over. I Think this has probably annoyed children all over the world for hundreds and hundreds of years. It is probably that which made me prefer this shot in black and white.
