Candidates for my food shot challenge.

I have been taking a quick couple of pictures for the food photo challenge.

I can only enter one and at the moment I am debating between these ones.
Feel free to comment if anyone actually reads this blog!

A play with perspex

Well it has been ages since I added anything to here, hasnt it!

I was inspired a few days ago to take some pictures using perspex for a bit of reflection.

My boys didnt particularly want their faces photographed so when I talked them into being a model wearing a mask they were ok. They were taken in a 15 minute burst as boys don't cooperate for very long. These are a couple of the ones I liked. The second shot I liked even though there was little reflection.
the first shot I like quite a lot. It is something different for me and I liked the reflection. Pity they wouldn"t cooperate for longer though!

Shot raw and transfered to jpeg later. Lol...I sound a little clever almost!

Last one.

Perhaps this is what my gym instructor means when she says focus on the abs!

Ok this is the last one I will share from today. Thought I would give some focus to the models abs whilst covering up a little camera shake from no tripod and low light.
Not great but not a terrible photo. I quite liked the end result.
I love the limestone wall behind her.

Class photos

This is another form my "shoot" during Tuesday's class .

It was low light and whilst I am happy
with the exposure I was after there was a bit of camera shake as I wasn't using a tripod.
Not too bad a shot though. I wish I had her abs!!

Some photos from my class.

Well I have a couple of shoots from my class to share with you. Sadly I dont think any of them were great but there was a couple of OK shots. It was my first time shooting RAW files and my first time adapting everything for my shots. Scary and a little out of my depth but I will be going back to repeat the class again and hopefully keep improving on this knowledge.
