I decided today that I would muck around with some makeup again and with the help of some friends who let me do anything to them, this was the result.
This is the beginning of my journey into Photography. Having never been brave enough to venture into the big scary world of manual settings I have finally taken the plunge. Armed with my Sony alpha 100 (my birthday present this year from my darling husband) I have taken the plunge and vowed to learn how to use it properly! Wish me luck. All constructive criticism is appreciated so please feel free to comment on any and all pictures.

I went out to do some snaps for tafe today so I would have a roll to develop last night. I couldnt help but throw a couple on my digital camera also so I could pop a couple of shots on here. This guy above was just hilarious! I cant say I have seen a kangaroo sit in the sun like this before!
They really are so lovely. This little family unit was just beautiful. Little joey was sleeping with his paws wrapped around his mum and the male was hugging and kissing the mum....or at least that is how it looks! Can you feel the love?
A little closer look at the joey....see the paws wrapped around mum. She isnt going anywhere whilst he is sleeping without him knowing about it!
They really enjoy lazing around in the sun. I am sure if he was a cat he would have been purring. He wasnt bothered at me being so close either which was great. I only had a 50ml lens on so I was pretty close!
I noticed this little joey is getting a little big for living at home. You can see his back feet sticking out also just under his chin. I think an eviction notice may be coming up for him!
This Saturday I took the lads for a wander at King's Park. I snapped a few pictures and these were a couple of my favourites from the day.
The one above is the DNA tower at King's Park. i really liked it once I converted it to black and white.

This one is a childhood fancy really. I can never help myself from picking them, blowing the fragile seeds away and of course, making a wish.
Cant tell you what I wished for......it wouldn't come true if I did, now would it!

Isnt she lovely.....isnt she beautiful!
My gorgeous little niece is almost 1 year old.....my my how time flies.
My love for black and white photos is continuing. I like the blown out look to these. Yes, it was deliberate.
You will be seeing many more black and whites as I have just started my course at college and will be spending the next 6 months of it shooting black and white(slides and film) and developing them myself! how exciting!! If I cant photoshop them I had better get cracking on improving my photographic skills.
Cute little baby saltwater crocodiles. Who would think they could grow up big enough to eat you.
Ok, I have a thing for hands and feet. I dont think you often get to see these feet though.
He nicely put a big smile on for me!
Lastly I thought I would include a couple of the crays. Now I personally hate this kind of food but I am sure many a mouth will water looking at these! Bleeeuuurrrrgh.
